Rachael Mamane is a techie turned private chef who recently moved from Seattle to Brooklyn. She owes her passion for cooking to a French-Moroccan heritage and her love for farmers markets to a childhood association with the Mediterranean. For over ten years, she has been composing multi-course meals that feature nose-to-tail cooking for esteemed colleagues and loved ones.
Rachael is joining the ranks of many local entrepreneurs with her imminent artisanal food brand called Brooklyn Bouillon. This small local business delivers traditional stocks and demi-glace to the home cook who cares about source and sustainability. Through partnerships with local farms, Brooklyn Bouillon is the first line of stocks where you can literally "shake the hand that feeds you."
Rachael also consults to the Hudson Valley Duck Farm on social media, advertising and recipe development. In her spare time, Rachael assists in the production of grassroots festivals and aims to co-found a promotions company that will be steeped in underground music culture.
